Attendance policies

Since West Coast Tennis Academy is operated out of a private club, we have implemented the following policies to allow non-members to visit the club for our tennis academy while still respecting club policies.

These policies are not intended to make visitors feel unwelcome, but were born out of necessity from past experience. We want every visitor to feel welcome and appreciated!

One guardian per child: We allow one adult guardian to accompany the child to the courts and spectate the lesson if so desired. Players are also welcomed to be dropped off and picked up from the front door of the club. For special permission to allow multiple spectators, a request with WCTA will need to be sent via email ahead of time. We understand that other family members might also want to watch! But we do keep these request approvals to a minimum.

No usage of the club for non-members: It is a strict policy of the club that non-members are not permitted to use the club amenities while visiting as a spectator of the lessons.

Make-up policy: The “class pass” system is designed to allow flexibility for busy families, but we do understand that life happens! While we try to not make this a habit, we do allow make-up classes for special circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, and of course if any lesson days get rained out. For any class pass credits to be allowed to roll into the next month, we simply ask that you make this request as early as you’re able to via email.
